The Guam Small Business Development Center will be offering low to no cost workshops for the month of July. All workshops will be conducted at the UOG Jesus & Eugenia Leon Guerrero School of Business & Public Administration Bldg. in the SBDC Training Room#148, First Floor (unless specified otherwise) from 8:30am – 11:00am. “The Benefits of Record Keeping for Farmers with USDA Farm Service Agency” Presented by Doreen Rivera, Thomas Nii, Tom Camacho, & Jamey Weakley (USDA FSA) Fee: FREE OF CHARGE Location: UOG Jesus & Eugenia Leon Guerrero Bldg. SBPA Margarita Duenas Perez & Jamie Felipe Tuquero IT&E Lecture Hall Rm#131 Synopsis: One common trait that all successful farm operations share is the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and production records. Financial and production records are also required to qualify for various benefits including FSA loans and cost reimbursement programs. The Farm Service Agency (FSA) is here to give you some ideas on: how to keep basic financial records; how to keep farm production records; what kind of financial and production records is FSA looking for; and benefits of the Reimbursement Transportation Cost Program.

Calling all interested 7th – 12th grade students and recent high school graduates

Synopsis: The summit will focus on the following themes: raising entrepreneurship awareness among young, high school students; developing effective leadership and teamwork skills to enhance business acumen; and learning from the experiences of successful entrepreneurs to create new businesses.
